The Romanian Day Festival was created in April of 2000 by Stefan Minovici, founder and president of MIC & Associates, a Wall Street business consulting firm. Since then, it has become a tradition and has continued to grow with each edition, from a local two-block street-fair on Wall Street, to an international event televised live to over 10 million people world-wide. Later, the Festival was”adopted” by the Minovici Foundation and ZIUA USA Cultural Association. We were honored with the presence of Romania International legends such as Gheorghe Hagi, Ilie Nastase and by the members of the Royal Court of Romania, His Majesty King Michael and Her Majesty Queen Ana.
In 2010, for the first time in history of the State, Governor David A. Paterson has proclaimed the month of May, the Romanian Heritage Month in the State of New York, as recognition of lobbying efforts by MIC & Associates.
