Produced in 1969 during the height of the Vietnam War, The Great Pretense reveals the history of American aid and trade with Communist countries and how that aid has helped to keep Communism alive. Shown by members of The John Birch Society throughout the country, the filmstrip awoke many Americans to the folly of trying to fight communists in one place while helping them everywhere else.
